Some stories aren’t about fame or platforms. They’re about faithfulness under pressure — about what happens when a young man is tested early, and God proves Himself faithful anyway.

Logan Coulson is one of those stories.

Logan is still young — barely into his twenties — yet his life already carries the weight of trials that would sideline most people physically, mentally, and spiritually. I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside him in discipleship and, by God’s grace, baptizing him. Watching his journey firsthand has been one of the great honors of my life.

Early on, Logan faced a devastating setback: a severely injured back that came with grim medical outlooks. Doctors questioned what his future would look like — not just athletically, but functionally. For many, that kind of prognosis becomes an identity. For Logan, it became a proving ground.

What followed wasn’t quick. It wasn’t easy. And it wasn’t guaranteed.

Through relentless rehabilitation, discipline, patience, and faith, Logan rebuilt what the world said was broken. Step by step, he regained strength. Day by day, he refused to let fear dictate his future. And through it all, the unmistakable thread was God’s grace — not just restoring his body, but shaping his character.

Today, Logan serves as an understudy teacher and assistant high school football and strength coach, pouring into students with empathy that can only come from lived experience. He doesn’t just coach technique — he models resilience. He doesn’t just talk about toughness — he lives it. His presence in the weight room and on the field is proof that suffering, when surrendered to God, can become preparation for service.

What makes Logan’s story so powerful isn’t just that he overcame injury. It’s that he never lost sight of who he was becoming. He allowed hardship to deepen his faith, sharpen his discipline, and expand his heart for others. He chose obedience when bitterness would have been easier. And he continues to lead — quietly, humbly, faithfully.

To me, Logan isn’t just a guest. He’s family. A little brother — even if he’s a big one — whose perseverance and humility make me incredibly proud.

On this episode of the Load the Wagon Podcast, we talk about:

  • Walking through physical suffering without losing spiritual footing
  • Trusting God when medical outcomes feel final
  • Rebuilding identity after life-altering setbacks
  • Leading young men through example, not words
  • What strength really means when it’s anchored in faith

Logan’s story is a reminder that God is not limited by diagnoses, timelines, or expectations. He is still in the business of restoring, redeeming, and repurposing lives — especially those willing to trust Him when the road is hardest.

This conversation is about endurance.
It’s about obedience.
And it’s about the quiet power of a life rebuilt by the grace of God.

I couldn’t be prouder to share his story with you.
