There are people whose impact doesn’t come from a single dramatic moment, but from a lifetime of consistent influence — in classrooms, in communities, and in hearts. Joe Coles is one of those people.
Joe Coles has spent more than four decades dedicated to education, leadership, and empowering others to become their best selves. A teacher, counselor, coach, athletic director, administrator, speaker, and consultant, his life’s work has been centered on strengthening people and organizations through thoughtful guidance, service, and encouragement. On this episode of the Load the Wagon Podcast, we sit down with Joe to explore:
- What decades in education taught him about leadership, resilience, and community
- How serving students shaped his understanding of purpose and influence
- The values he believes every leader — in schools, business, or life — must hold
- How everyday environments can become places where people thrive, not just survive
This conversation isn’t about accolades or titles. It’s about a life committed to others, a perspective shaped by service, and the faith it takes to keep showing up for people day after day.
Joe’s journey embodies a profound truth: leadership isn’t only for the spotlight — it’s for the service that transforms lives when no one is watching.
