📖 Devotional
Foundation: Truth Builds Trust
Truth is more than telling facts. Truth is the foundation of trust—and trust is the foundation of every strong relationship.
God doesn’t ask us to be perfect. He asks us to be honest. When we tell the truth, we create safety. When we lie, even small lies, we weaken trust with God and with people. Over time, that trust becomes harder to rebuild.
This week’s verses remind us that truth starts in the heart, not just in our words. God delights in people who are trustworthy—not because they never mess up, but because they are willing to be real. Truth brings freedom because it removes fear: fear of getting caught, fear of being judged, fear of hiding who we really are.
For boys becoming men, truth is strength. It takes courage to be honest when it’s uncomfortable. It takes maturity to admit mistakes. And it takes faith to trust that God’s way—truth—is better than the easy shortcut of lying.
When we choose truth, we build trust.
When we build trust, we build strong families, strong friendships, and strong character.
