#4 – Foundation: Choosing God’s Way

January 24, 2026 Admin SaturDay Recap

This week felt very practical. A lot of our conversations weren’t theoretical — they were about decisions, paths, and the small choices that quietly add up over time. That’s what shaped #4 – Foundation: Choosing God’s Way.

As we moved through the week, the Scriptures kept putting a fork in the road in front of us. Proverbs reminded us that trusting God often means not leaning on our own shortcuts or instincts. Deuteronomy framed it plainly — that life is full of real choices, and love and obedience are tied to which direction we take. Jesus’ words in Matthew narrowed it even more, showing that the easier path isn’t always the better one, and that following God can feel restrictive at first but leads somewhere solid.

Psalm 119 gave us a quieter image — God’s Word as a light, not a full map, but enough for the next step. And Galatians brought the long view, helping us see that what we plant today shapes what grows tomorrow. That idea landed in a meaningful way when talked through together, without pressure, just honesty.

This episode reflects those moments — a dad and a son learning that manhood isn’t about never making mistakes, but about choosing which way you’re aiming when you do. God’s way doesn’t promise ease, but it does offer clarity. And week by week, that clarity starts to feel like confidence.
